This is a wonderful series of letters to a then, Film Star, from a lady in New York who just happened to have lived in the house in England, that Bogarde presently lived in. The possibility of a friendship growing from a single letter seems unlikely, but it blossomed into something close and personal; even though neither party ever met the other. It held my attention, and I couldn't wait to read the next letter! ' A Different Kind of Friendship' is a different kind of book! but a most enjoyable one.
