I don't mean it is simple. In my opinion it should be a bacis book for every Christian. John Stott has the ability to bring out the basics in complex topics. He also has the insight into matters which makes one see them in a new and fresh way. This book is a should read.

profoundly simple
This is a masterful sharing of the fundamentals of the Christian Faith, both very profound and suggesting enormous depth while simple enough for any beginner to understand. In fact it may be deceptively simple, so read twice!
