I have read all of Torey Hayden's non-fiction books and they are all great. I admire the work that she does with these kids that need someone in their lives to count on and help them overcome the abuse and neglact they have suffered. I highly recommend all of her books. Only wish she would write more.

i have a grandaughter with undiagnosed developmental problems. beautiful child was written beautifully regarding torrey hayden's extensive experience with all types of learning disabilities Her compassion, knowledge and story experiences were so compelling that i finished her book rapidly and ordered another in series

Hauntingly beautiful
A "beautiful" story of a young girl struggling to become her own person despite so very much adversity. It has always amazed me how much patience and tolerance Torey exhibits with all her students so that they may feel, perhaps for the first times intheir lives, that they matter.
