Eric Meola´s "Born to run- the unseen photos" show just -or no less than- the sessions that were held for the legendary Born to run cover, one that made history and that is arguably one of the best of all times. Quality of the pictures is just superb, and one can only shed a tear when taking a close look at a 26-year old Springsteen, aiming at, in his own words, "the best rock and roll record ever made". However, the session seems to have taken place in a couple of hours, most of the pictures are shot against the same white sheet, and the feeling after going twice through the pages is that you don´t need to look at them again in another 33 years. After all, it´s a nice companion for the Born to run boxset, but any serious Bruce fan should buy before the books by Lynn Goldsmith and Frank Stefanko.
