written in virtually dialogue form conversations between author and his agent as he tries to thrash out deals , in his sitcom career from the type of actors/actresses, to fees , wingeing about everyday life, moaning about the big shot bosses who have the final say, it gives a real insight into a writer and the practical aspects of selling a sitcom, what it involves , it entails the pain and glory of first trying to get someone intereseted in it, then to finance it , and then compromising about far y are willing to make changes in return for the financial investment its very accurate , but the dialogue does get tedios towards the end
