It's entertaining and inspiring. I usually am not drawn to "real stories" because they tend to be smaltzy (hope that's a word) - this one is most excellent!

We love Dear Mad'm
In Fact, many people love Dear Mad'm and come to our town and even MOVE here after reading this book! They want to see Stella, of course, and she passed on before the book came out, but we have wonderful good neighbors, just like Dear Mad'm, Dearsir, Up & up and Frenchy. Most of them go by nicknames from childhood, Mooch, Doozie, etc. In fact our whole town has an annual Dear Mad'm Day with picnic luncheon, neighborly awards, and reminiscences about those days on the Klamath River!! We love Klamath neighbors getting together in the town of Happy Camp, at the top of CA!

DELIGHTFUL!
This was a totally delightful story. I got this book from my mother, who read it first, and I loved reading it. I passed the book to my husband, and he was also delighted with this fun read. I t is a fun read. I will be keeping this book to read again. I only wish that the author had written more books!
