I actually bought this book for my husaband,
who really enjoyed it, but I found the story
to be much too gory and graphic. However
I think that Arthur Hailey is a very good writer.

He?s summoned to the execution of a man he put behind bars to hear his last words. And what a revelation they are. Is the man innocent of a double-murder? Is it possible someone on the force is involved, someone Malcolm knows well? Hmmm. This book was too formulaic for me. I saw it coming. That said, the first third was a nice romp,
