This book was recommended to me by a writer from South America. I did not know of Bolano and it was a real discovery; to me a striking new voice in literature. Unlike anything I've ever read. I've given the book to two well-read people and they feel the same. I did cut the flap off the front cover because I feel that it gives too much away and best to read this startling work without knowing what it is about beforehand.
