This legal thriller by Singer had a storyline I didn't think I'd like, because I didn't agree with the parents who didn't take their child in for medical help, and it resulted in the child's death. However, the case proceeds with a few twists and surprises. The Dad spends some time in jail, the other children's testimony is staged, and the corrupt prosecutor gets what's coming to her. The parents learn a hard lesson, and Attorney Charles Arnold doesn't excuse their behaviour even as he attempts to present a valid defense and understand why they acted as they did.
