The basic storyline was very good; but there was far too much family background to muddle through. Ann Rule is one of my favorite authors but she missed the mark on this one.

In her mind, the people in her life are no more capable of suffering than the dolls that she plays with. This book is a fascinating psychological case study of a female sociopath.
