The book was very fast paced and the characters were well developed. Which is great because FROZEN is the first in a series that includes these characters. Their is a supernatural element to the book but nothing over the top or completly out there. I have the next three books in the series and hope that they are just as good

Don't waste your time
So, here we are with this book called Frozen, by Jay Bonansinga. I don't know if Frozen is his first novel, but oh lord I hope so. I can only hope the amateurishness of this book can be explained by simple lack of experience. Maybe his other books (yeah, I checked, he has written a few others) get better. I don't even know where to begin complaining about this one. I really don't even know how I finished it. An FBI profiler is the main character. Totally two-dimensional, with baffling personality and tone changes throughout the book. He seems to have a personality disorder. Every other character in the book has a purpose. I mean, it seems as though every character we're introduced to is only there to fulfill some pre-determined, fated place in the story. The story is predictable from page one. This book did not grow from an idea and evolve; it was totally planned, outlined, rigidly pieced together. It feels contrived. Okay, okay, so its fiction, but still....the story doesn't feel fluid or even remotely believable. It seems like a bad 80's movie with Arnold. I'm so disappointed when an idea with potential gets mauled by some bad writer. I'm holding out hope that the next one will improve.
