This is a an easy-to-read, captivating book. Good for kids to read, though the younger ones may have a hard time understanding some parts. It gives just the right amount of details, making it so that you can see what's happening, but it doesn't make the book long and drawn-out. This is the story of a fox, a boy, and a dog. Star, the six-toed fox, is a fun character to read about, being smart and cunning. Jeff, the boy, is not as fun as Star, but still pretty good. There are no parts of the story that are from the dog's point of view. Star is a sly and cautious fox who has been able to elude all of the dogs in the area--until Thunder comes along, bringing with him a chase that makes this a great book for young and old.
