Since I believe that getting anything accomplished is a matter of personal attitude this book has been helpful for me. I have read (on other sites) reviews which criticize this book as dated. This is true and a lot of the hard facts and figures no longer apply, but the most important part of this book is its message which is one of living using less and conservation. Those lessons are timeless and important in my over-consuming country (U.S). Bottom line - read this book for the personal stories and accounts of people simplifying their lives, not for numbers and stats which are no longer applicable.
