Brian Jacques continues to write solid character driven stories. From the venerable inhabitants of Salamandostrum to the virile young badger, Lord Brocktree, and his rabbit compannion, Dottie, the characters are fun to fall in love with. A nerfarious villain who cares only for feeding his own ego tops off the cast. And the final battle of good vs. evil is definitely one to remember. Masterful dialogue and characterization that you come to expect from Mr. Jacques, wot!
