Program notes on Appalachian Spring, Herodiade, El Penitente, Punch and Judy, Errand into the Maze, Dark Meadow, Salem Shore, Every Soul is a Circus, Deaths and Entrances, Diversion of Angels, Cave of the Heart, Letter to the World, Night Journey, and The Eye of Anguish. Inscribed by Graham at the half title to the French poet St. John Perse whom T.S. Eliot translated. Perse is reputed to have been Graham's favorite poet. Also signed by the author Leroy Leatherman and the photographer Martha Swope at the title page.
