Just okay
This is a lovely book just like Donna Hay's magazines. The photos are inspiring as always. But I just didn't come away from my first perusal of the recipes thinking I wanted to cook a lot of them. The recipes are simple but repetitious, lots of pumpkin & butternut squash, asian inspired recipes. Also a good number of recipes with ingredients I don't keep on hand, gravlax, blood plums, Moreton Bay Bugs so it would make it hard to make those recipes "fast". This is a pretty good book if you are looking for recipes that are simple to put together but for a seasoned cook I found most of them boring.
