The plays within this volume of Georg Kaiser's collected works from Calder are a mixed bag of interesting and more realistic than expressionistic at this point in our world. They aere slightly absurdist, yet rooted in a sensibility of modernism that plays light and airy. Of their time, but could be interesting as adapted for the 21st century.
