Good for college writing
I bought this book to use for a college class. It has been very helpful to me in my writing - like when I have questions about how to write something for the bibliography, etc. It is easy to understand and small in size, so I could easily fit it in my backpack or even my purse.

APA - A lifesaver
I am working on my doctorate and constantly having to double-check myself on papers I write. This book is a great reference and small enough that I can take it with me when I need to do so. Wonderful book, well worth the price.

APA Style
I'm writing a thesis and my employer gives me time at work to do research. I use the Pocket Guide at work as a quick way to check referencing styles. (It's light and small and travels well.) It's a great way to quickly see what the correct reference style is per APA. Types of entries are indexed on inside covers. I gave it 5 stars with the caveat that it's good for what is intended. I have the full blown version of the APA style book at home and since that's the final word, I go there to look for most manuscript issues. The Pocket Guide (150 pgs) could be used but the manual (400 pgs?) has it all. (Well, almost all.)
You could get by with the Pocket Guide for all your shorter papers!
