Told by three of his 19 wives, "Red Water" is the story of John D. THIS BOOK STARTS OUT WITH A BANG BUT ENDS WITH A WHIMPER. IT STARTS OUT WITH THE EXECUTION OF JOHN D. LEE THE ONLY MAN TO PAY FOR THE MOUNTAINS MEADOW MASSACRE. IT THEN GOES ON TO TELL THE STORY THROUGH THE EYES OF THREE OF HIS WIVES. I LIKED THE STORY OF EMMA THE BEST BECAUSE JOHN WAS FEATURED IN IT MORE THAN THE OTHER TWO STORIES. THE LAST 2 STORIES FOR ME WERE A LITTLE BORING AND I FOUND MYSELF SKIMMING TO GET TO THE PARTS I WAS INTERESTED IN. BUT IN THE END I FOUND THE BOOK TO BE SATISFYING AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS.
