From the No.1 bestselling author, comes an exciting novel new to Hodder in eBook and audio. On an island off the coast of Maine, a man is found dead. There's no identification on the body. Only the dogged work of a pair of local newspapermen and a graduate student in forensics turns up any clues. But that's just the beginning of the mystery. Because the more they learn about the man and the baffling circumstances of his death, the less they understand. Was it an impossible crime? Or something stranger still...? No one but Stephen King could tell this story about the darkness at the heart of the unknown and our compulsion to investigate the unexplained. With echoes of Dashiell Hammett's The Maltese Falcon and the work of Graham Greene, one of the world's great storytellers presents a surprising tale that explores the nature of mystery itself... A Good Mystery
Curiously enough, it?s a murder mystery that is based on a newspaper clipping. At first I didn?t think I was gonna like this one, but once giving it a chance I found myself pushing to the end to get more and more information on the island?s story. Like Steffi, the two old men storytellers have you hanging on to the next bit of information. But after 25 years what makes you or her think that this mystery can be solved? It feels as if all the clues are there, so the answer should be too, right?

Mystery lovers read here!
Stephen King is the best when it comes to horror stories, but The Colorado Kid is a deviant from this norm. A college student doing an internship in a small town on the coast of Maine is "taught" a story of a man, a dead man that no one knows.
This book is NOT gory, it is NOT horror, but it IS a good book, for those who like mysteries. For others, this book would not be a good choice if you are expecting a regular Stephen King novel.
