I ordered three more of Mayor's Joe Gunther series; I am sorry that I did. Mayor's plots, no matter what the situation, turn out to be the same old, same old. Gunther takes chances, Gunther gets hurt, Gunther solves whatever crime comes his way. After reading a half dozen books about Joe Gunther by Mayor, I don't feel that I know anyone, especially the chief protagonist. I am going to try another author for a bit, then return to see if I can stay awake through another Mayor novel.
