The topic of the Eastern Question is regarding the long-held fears of what will be the reactions of the world powers if Turkey (Islam) is to lose control of the Bosporus water way. For decades, many Bible students have believed that Scripture speaks to this issue. The opening page of the copy of this book, from which the following republication was obtained, was missing. Thus, the certainty of the author's name and the year of publication is up to question. However, the inside cover page has a note pasted to it with reasonings that it was apparently written in 1913-1914, shortly before the beginning of World War I., and that the author "may have been a W. J. Fitzgerald."The present publisher was unable to confirm, nor discredit, this information. Thus, until shown otherwise, this publication will go forth with the author as W. J. Fitzgerald and the date of publication of 1914.Of interest also is that the same inside cover page has what appears to be signatures; that of R. L. Odom at the very top, and then just below it, that of W. W. Prescott.Elsewhere in the book it is stated that the publisher was in England-The International Tract Society, Limited, Stanborough Park, Watford, Herts.
