If you are a fan of teenage sleuth stories, such as the "Brains Benton Mysteries" or "Encyclopedia Brown", you will like the stories of the Mad Scientist's Club.
The stories seem to take place sometime between the late 1950's and early 1960's, but are still as funny as they were in the 1970's. The story lines are entertaining, and easy to read. The boys tackle one mystery after another, while keeping one step ahead of former member "Harmon Muldoon". He was expelled at some point before the stories, for conduct unbecoming a junior scientist.
The boys are involved with the investigation of stolen money, recovery of a lost dinosaur egg, a flying mannequin, and the creation of a Loch Ness style monster after one of their own tells a fib to his parents. How many of us have done that?
