Ghost stories almost from a bygone era. MUCH less gore (no gore), but still 'scary.' Not psychotic killers, nor slashers, no stalkers. But those have lived and died don't seem to know how to stay dead in a Hill novel. They are often brief reads that stay with the reader long after they are done. In their brevity, they are easily revisted.
