This book is slanted and out of touch. For the most part it is only about girls that are abused. I did not see it address boys that are abused. It is based on healing threw Christianity/church but does not address some of us were abused by people in the church and have NO trust with them any more.
The author is trying to describe what he has not felt. A non abused male telling girls, turn to the Bible to save you from the pain
If you are an adult male that is not a Bible thumper this book is not worth your time.

Great Answers to Questions
There are easier books to read but if you want to get to the core of your issues, I would suggest this book.
It is truly for those who are determined and want the truth.

A must-read
GREAT book for anyone who has gone through childhood abuse. Also very helpful for those who live with or desire to help others recover. It is written from a Biblical perspective and has much to say about the process from a christian vantage point.

Incredible Book
The Wounded Heart workbook and text are incredible resources that I have used for support groups that have gathered in our church. After overcomeing the abuse I suffered as a child I've reviewed a number of books on this topic and feel confident that Dr. Allender's material is the best available. I would recommend this for personal use - or use in a group. It's a book that you'll want to read more than once. The service I received with Alibirs was excellent. The used books I received from independent sellers were exactly as they described and arrived quickly.
