Fu manages to escape the attack on his temple. He then disappears into the forest, eventually crossing paths with a group of hunters who are about to kill a tiger and her cub. Fu viciously attacks the hunters and a young boy traveling with them, but when he later tracks them down to apologise, he is imprisoned in a village where a man who may be his father is living. Fu is given up to Ying's soldiers who are just as interested in the Dragon scrolls as they are. The young monk, Malao, the monkey, tries to rescue Fu but ends up captured as well and both are sent off to be executed along with their brother Hok who is also captive.
