As an educator, I read carefully for style, punctuation, syntax, and a variety of adjectives and adverbs. A friend of mine "sold" our book club on this book as a true story; she didn't read carefully. The front cover reads "This is a book of fiction." That was my first disappointment. The book is a marginal read with unimaginative descriptions.
