This is a facsimile reprint of one of the most sought-for items of New Mexicans, a famous but almost never seen booklet about the sheriff who pursued and killed Billy the Kid. It was written just after Garrett's own slaying in 1908, written by a newspaperman who knew Garrett and New Mexico well. This exact reproduction was made by a photographic process from one of the two known copies of the first (and until now only) edition. It is not only good history; it is thrilling reading matter.
